I have been to Universal Studio Singapore in 2017. At that time, I only had time to try a few rides, namely Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon dan Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle. It was because of the long queue and we did not know the schedule of the show. So, a lot of time is wasted deciding what to ride and show to watch. Besides, our hotel is far away from USS, we had to travel a long way to reach the venue.
I went there with my three friends. That was our first time so we didn’t know what to do. We were starving because we didn’t bring any food inside. We also had a lack of money so we could not buy food while we were in USS. The weather was really hot. We were all exhausted. In conclusion, we did not enjoy our USS trip.

1. Bring Your Food
USS does not allow you to bring food from outside. But it’s okay to smuggle your food as long as you are not caught by the USS employee. They will not check your bag in too much detail unless your movements are suspicious. You can bring chocolate or snack bar in small size.
2. Bring Drinking Bottle
Singapore is expensive. Mineral water is no exception. It costs SGD 1 – 1.5 per bottle. If you want to save money, then bring your drinking bottle. You can refill it because in USS they provide so many taps for drinking water for free in every corner and attraction.
3. Bring Your Raincoat
A Raincoat is needed because several water rides make you wet. It is also needed just in case it is raining. You can buy the raincoat outside USS which is much cheaper than in USS.
4. Visit USS on Weekdays
Don’t try to visit USS on weekends or during public holidays. It will be so crowded with people and the queue will definitely long. Visit USS on weekdays not only to avoid long queues but also you can get a cheaper ticket price.
5. Buy Ticket Online
You can purchase USS tickets through online platforms. There are so many travel websites that offer you a reasonable ticket price of USS. You can save your money because it tends to be cheaper than buying it on the spot. You can immediately enter by showing your e-ticket without having to print it.
6. Purchase Express Pass
If you want to try a lot of attractions, you can purchase Express Pass. By having it, you can have a priority special queue. But, it will be useless if you visit USS during peak season because the queue will also long too.
7. Give Time
Visit USS can’t be done in several hours. It will joyful if you can spend the whole day there. So, you can go there in the morning and go back when the USS is closed. ^^ The night view in USS is awesome.
8. Stay at Hotel on Sentosa Island
Visiting USS is exhausting. You can rent a room in a hotel near USS like Sofitel Sentosa. Sofitel Sentosa Resorts & Spa is located only 13 minutes from USS. You can enjoy the hotel’s facilities the next day after having a trip to USS.
